Orange Spring Butterfly

This is a poem that was inspired as I was leaving the local community college after a class.  It was the beginnings of spring and a small but beautiful orange butterfly fluttered in front of the car which inspired me to stop and write this piece…

Soft winds carry me

I flutter with sunned glee

Rose bush, Car pass, Wind Blow

Spring time buds have revealing shows

I awaken:  body, eyes, heart

Another flourishing season starts

Fresh, anew, and optimistic

Mental shutterflys will not have missed it

I am Orange Spring Butterfly
